DLSU-D grad bags development award

DLSU-D alumni Ryan Patrick Evangelista, a graduate of BSBA Major in Economics Batch 1999 was recently celebrated as one of the outstanding international development leaders at the Manila 40 Under 40 event held in Makati.
Evangelista, who currently holds the post of executive director of and COO of U-ACT was honored for being youngest deputy secretary-general for policy and advocacy of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and his role in co-founding the Universal Access to Competitiveness and Trade (U-ACT), PCCI’s designated trade policy arm.
Throughout his career, he was able to successfully advise and consult with leaders of the private sector and internationalorganizations, among them the United Nations and the U.S. Agency for International Development, on issues concerning trade and policy , resulting in development projects implemented all over the world.
Evangelista, who was named one of the 20 emerging leaders of the Australia-ASEAN Emerging Leaders Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2011, was also responsible for authoring research publications on stakeholder dialogue mechanism and SME participation in trade policy formulation.
