Over 100 Lasallians cited for honesty

Over a hundred Lasallians from DLSU-D will be cited for their honesty during the Luntiang Parangal 2013.
This confirmation came from Student Welfare And Formation Office (SWAFO) Director Albert Puchero, who recently submitted a list to the Student Development and Activities Office (SDAO) for the inclusion of the honest Lasallians to the roster of awardees in the prestigious event.
According to Puchero, following the office's successful campaign to bring the office closer to the students through its Students Will never be A FOe with SWAFO campaign, SWAFO personnel have seen the need to nurture the value of honesty among the Lasallian community.
Under the new campaign "Lasallians are honest," various photos of items surrendered to the SWAFO Lost and Found division headed by Ms. Olive Vargas are posted on the office's Facebook page to hasten the claim process of owners who may not be aware that their valuables are with the office. Photos of the good samaritans are also posted on the page.
The team believes that honoring honest individuals for their remarkable act is only a small token of the University's appreciation for their efforts but this could encourage other members of the community to become good samaritans in their own right.
"Aside from academic excellence and competence, another facet of a Lasallian student which should be given premium is his or her honesty. Honesty should be Lasallian’s way of life. SWAFO, being an active unit under OSS highlights that," Puchero said.
