Ghe Teatro Lasalliana of De La Salle University Dasmariñas, in cooperation with Office of Student Services and Cultural Arts Office, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the staging of Himala:
the Musicale, adapted from the award winning screenplay of Ricky Lee, with music by Vincent de Jesus and additional arrangement by Jed Balsamo.
For its silver anniversary, TL is injecting a fresh twist to the critically acclaimed film which originally starred Nora Aunor as Elsa, a fake faith healer from a small barrio. In the stageplay, the character of Orly, the documentary filmmaker, becomes the central speaker onstage. This shift in the narrative itself, decentralizes the story of Barrio Cupang and Elsa.
The cast is topbilled by Mayen Estanero as Elsa, together with Al Gatmaitan, Mary Jennifer Salamah, Aileen Torres, Christian Omaña, Jomar De Jesus, Camille Vanessa Austria, Katrina Fornoles, Charlotte Gonzales, Jainalyn Ley Giron, Christian Ian Ocampo, Nestor Raoet Jr., Alfritz Blanche and Romalc Clamor.
An ensemble of promising actors comprise the formidable supporting cast -- Daryl Viros, Jonathan Rabanzo, Chester Conde, Maria Cristina Ongwico, Rodante Alan Peneda, Geraldine Young, Naomi Ruth Valiola, Ellaine Jane Balingit, Jayson Devaras, Mark Joshua Joson, Micah Anghela Songco, Angela Zulueta, Girlea Ann Biescas, Alysa Shereen Alba, Adnel Windom Aquino, Rica Mae Barinque, Apolinario Brosoto, Lyssa Ann Buerano, Dayrold Cris Corpus, Nickea Covar, Adriel Ross Dazo, Ancel Mae Dobluis, Ellaine Grace Grisola, Paulechelle Iligan, Chelo Anthonete Ledesma, Karina Nolasco, Jillian Avery Ortigas, Michael Deyrick Plaus, Pamela Quitangon, Thea Tapado, Janine Isabelle Reyes, Marc Angelo Balon, Maxinne Grace Mendoza, Tamarra Arielle Verdan, Jonash Timola and Carlo Rementilla.
