Culminating Conference on the Year of the Laity Celebration
Posted on October 14, 2014 at 11:20:05 AM
To culminate the Year of the Laity, DLSU-D spearheads a conference this October 24 at the Severino de las Alas Hall. With the theme, The Joy of the Gospel: A Call to be Saints and be Heroes of the Faith, the conference will gather cathechists, Christian living teachers, lay leaders, faith-formation ministers and guests.
The celebration of the Year of the Laity is an opportunity to strengthen every Christian’s relationship with the Lord and live the faith courageously. This will also engage the laity in the Church's mission as decreed: “Our own times require of the laity no less zeal: in fact, modern conditions demand that their apostolate be broadened and intensified. With a constantly increasing population, continual progress in science and technology, and closer interpersonal relationships, the areas for the lay apostolate have been immensely widened particularly in fields that have been for the most part open to the laity alone.” (Apostolicam Actuositatem,#1)
This conference will tackle three concerns that will challenge the participants in their catechetical ministry, programs and lay apostolate. Registration is free.
