KABANSA holds Nat'l conference on Local Heritage Preservation from Jan 27-28

The Association of Studies Centers in the Philippines (KABANSA), is partnering with the Cavite Studies Center, Social Sciences Department of DLSU-Dasmariñas, the City of Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa Studies Center and the Philippine Historical Association to hold a national conference on Local Heritage Preservation in the Philippines from January 27-28, 2017.

The event, which is open to Social Sciences/Social Studies faculty members, will be hosted by the city of Santa Rosa and aims to acquaint the public on how to preserve and conserve our cherished local and national heritage by conducting lectures/discussions on the value of local history and culture, establishing heritage centers, making project proposal on heritage preservation, writing local history, among other things.

The first day of the conference will be allotted for lecture sessions while the second day is devoted to a tour of Santa Rosa spearheaded by the Santa Rosa Studies Center.
