DLSU-D Dormitory

The De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Dormitory provides on-campus residence for DLSU-D students. A home away from home, it envisions itself to be a safe place where students may experience the Lasallian spirit as they learn the values of love, peace, and unity.

Housing Facilities

The University Student Housing, which is a cluster of eleven buildings, lies on the northern end of the 27-hectare campus. Male residents are housed in eight of these buildings namely, Acacia, Bagtikan, Kamagong, Katmon, Lawaan, Molave, Narra, and Yakal.

Female students stay in units named after flowers, which are Ilang-ilang, Sampaguita, and Waling-waling. Seven out of the eleven buildings offer air conditioned and non-air conditioned rooms. The dormitory facilities are summarized below for your easy reference.

Health Services

Our students' health and well-being are among the top priorities of the University. This explains why there are three clinics that serve the community Mondays through Saturdays in three strategic locations on campus. The West Campus clinic has a physician and a dentist who provide our students with quality healthcare.

Each of the clinics at the East Campus and at the Ugnayang La Salle is staffed with a full time nurse. For emergencies, a driver is on call and a University vehicle stands ready 24 hours a day. In addition, the first ISO-certified tertiary hospital in the Philippines, the De La Salle University Medical Center, is only half a kilometer away from the campus.

Canteens and Other Services

a Finding a place where good meals are served may be difficult for some, but not for our residents. Across from the dormitories are canteens, snack bars and lunchrooms that offer a wide range of dishes from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. not only to satisfy the cravings of their customers but also to provide a great variety of healthful food choices.

Meanwhile, those who need to buy office supplies and other basic necessities need not go out of the school grounds because these are available at the University bookstore in the East Campus.

Recreation

a

For recreation purposes, students can avail of all facilities at the University gymnasium, or Ugnayang La Salle, as long as they follow the rules and regulations on using such facilities.

They can choose among two basketball courts, a volleyball court, a number of table tennis areas, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a football field, and a rubberized track-and-field ground.

Vehicle Entry and Parking

Dormitory residents who drive their own vehicles regularly into and around the campus are required to secure a sticker from the Reservation Unit at the Administration Building.

Parking should not be a problem as the University offers ample parking spaces. The residential compound itself has a parking area, in addition to the ones found around the East and West campuses.

Phones

To make and receive important calls, residents may use the pay phones at the Guest House lobby and the Small Business Center (SBC) canteen everyday from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Students, however, are advised to refrain from engaging in unnecessarily long calls that tie up phone lines. Each room is also equipped with a one-way speaker phone to facilitate communication between the dorm matron and the residents.

Security Services

Security officers ensure the safety of the residents twenty four hours a day. Roving guards regularly patrol the area day and night to make sure that the place is free from any disturbances.
