National Service Training Program (NSTP)
DLSU-D as an academic institution recognizes its role in community development. Through the implementation of The National Service Training Program (NSTP), civic consciousness and defense preparedness of the youth shall be intensified. Trainings in the Reserve Officers Training Corps(ROTC) shall prepare students for possible defense service; Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) Program will eventually enhance civic consciousness through service and commitment for the welfare of the community. Students shall be involved on various programs and activities corollary to the Lasallian Values Religio, Mores and Cultura.
Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC)
Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) is tasked to train and develop college students in the rudiments of Military Service in order to produce capable Armed Forces of the Philippines reservists
Specifically, the ROTC aims to:
NSTP-ROTC 101 (ROTC 1)
- prepare college students for possible service in the defense establishment during event of emergency.
- train officers and enlisted personnel for the reserve components of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
- train potential Officers for possible direct commissionship in the AFP.
A program component designed to provide military training to tertiary level students in order to motivate, train, organize and mobilize them for national defense preparedness. This course is intended to prepare and equip the students with knowledge, skills and attitude in carrying out national service in the event of national emergencies and to assist the socio-economic development of the country.
NSTP-ROTC 102 (ROTC 2)
This is the continuation of the ROTC 1 program, designed for thorough application of the theories and principles learned both in field and classroom discussions in the rudiments of the military service intended to produce capable armed forces of the Philippines reservist by developing the value of patriotism, leadership, discipline, camaraderie, obedience and team work.

Civic Welfare Training Service
We, the faculty members of the National Service Training Program - Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) who have diverse backgrounds and various fields of specialization, are called to commit ourselves in developing students-community development workers that shall serve as active partners of the institution, of the community, and of the nation in the implementation of different community development programs, projects and activities, contributory to nation-building and achievement of social transformation focusing on the national security, development and/or welfare in accordance to the Lasallian Guiding Principle of Faith, Zeal and Communion; by utilizing a theory-practicum approach, through classroom lectures and discussions, both structural and dynamic learning activities, community exposures, application of the knowledge, skills and attitudes in responding to real-life problems of the community and through establishing networks and linkages within and outside the institution in coordination with the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC).
The different programs under NSTP-CWTS:
NSTP-CWTS 101 (Lecture) is a program designed to enhance the civic consciousness of students by developing the value of service and commitment for the welfare and betterment of life of all members of the community. It also aims to strengthen the students' active participation in the program and activities intended to uplift the different dimensions of development in accordance to the Lasallian Values of Religio, Mores at Cultura.
NSTP-CWTS 102 (Practicum) is intended for intensive community exposure for thorough implementation of community plans and projects which will develop the student's value of commitment, hardwork and resourcefulness.
