Performing Arts Group (PAG)

Supervised by the Cultural Arts Office, the Performing Arts Group aims to nurture the Filipino culture by conducting socially-relevant productions for the Lasallian community and other neighboring communities of our institution. Harboring unique and persistent individuals, PAG molds the members not merely to be performers but artists that exude excellence in their craft. Members undergo meticulous trainings and workshops and experience quality performances to excel and inspire other Lasallian students. With the belief that arts must be a collective effort, the group generously contributes in the formation of a family enriched with Filipino Culture and Artistry through quality production exploration and execution. Hence, students who have exceptional skills and passion for singing, dancing, acting, and musical instrument playing are encouraged to join this group. Share a gift and inspire others! De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Chorale

The De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Chorale is a pioneer institutional Performing Arts organization under the Cultural Arts Office. The group is composed of 28 students from the different colleges who strive to promote appreciation for choral music, uphold Filipino faith and culture and aid its members in their personal formation towards fully becoming men and women who live by the Lasallian values of Faith, Zeal in Service and Communion in Mission. Under the leadership of Mr. Vell Luis Litan, a professional choral trainer and conductor, the group produces musical presentations and performs in diverse institutional functions, as well as in Choral Festivals, competitions and other external events. The DLSU-D Chorale aims to inculcate discipline, responsibility, determination, cooperation and humility while enhancing the potential of its members through trainings, rehearsals, exposure activities and various workshops conducted all throughout the year. At present, the university’s sole institutional advocate of the arts through choral music continues to entertain and educate its varied audience through its creative repertoire selection and various projects.

De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Symphonic Band

The DLSU-D Symphonic Band, formerly DLSU-D Brass Band, is composed of a dynamic group of instrumentalists and band players. Since 1994, the band blows its harmony in various institutional activities and special functions in and off the campus. The members’ instruments have likewise brought esteem and laurels to the university.


The band came from the Physical Education Department of this university in 1994 and was then called The La Salle Band. Two years later, in 1996, the Cultural Arts Office took charge of the band and named it the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Brass Band. In 2009, the band was given the name the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Symphonic Band.

Applicants can inquire at the recruitment booth located at the JFH kubo or visit the Symphonic Band Office located at Gregorio Montoya Hall (GMH 206). Applicants will undergo series of interviews and will be scheduled for an audition to test their skills in music. Qualified applicants will be notified. An orientation will be scheduled regarding the rules and regulation of the group including its nature and composition.

La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company

La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company

The La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company formerly known as La Salle Filipiniana Dance Troupe was established on June 1993 by Ms. Eliza Domingo together with its pioneer members, Mr. Junaidi Garcia Bambilla and Mr. Rommel Serrano. The group’s name was revised in the Year 2000 and from that day up to the present time, the group was officially known as La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company (LSFDC). 

The group aims to elude ignorance and elevate the art of folk dancing and music with its vision; “To promote cultural awareness to the community in the aspects of dance and music through collaborative theatrical performances”. Under the supervision of Cultural Arts Office in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, LSFDC’s works and existence has provided significant influence and contributions to the Performing Arts Group and to the whole Lasallian community.

LSFDC has performed in various national, institutional and provincial events such as Sayaw Filipinas; a showcase of dances and music held annually at De La Salle-Lipa and Cultura Verde; A Lasallian Centennial Celebration. The group also performed in the most prestigious stage of Concert at the Park and Cultural Center of the Philippines. LSFDC was the first group in De La Salle Philippines who featured creative folk and ethnic music of the Philippines. The group caters variety of dances that depicts the country’s indigenous and traditional arts and culture. The group’s repertoire consists of iconic and well applauded dances such as Banga-Salidsid, Jota Caviteña, Sayaw sa Bangko, Tinikling, Vinta, Pangsak Pagkawin and Singkil  to name a few.

The group was awarded as the ”Outstanding Cultural Dance Group” in the19th Annual Asia Pacific Excellence and 2011 Asian Entertainers Awards. Also, in the 2012 Who’s Who in the Philippines “Outstanding Pinoy Entertainer Awardee. In addition, the group was also recognized by the Luntiang Parangal in 2011 as the 1st Best Student Fundraising Project, in year 2013 as the Performing Arts Group of the Year and in year 2014, again as the Performing Arts Group of the Year and Best in Outreach Project.

Lasallian Pointes N' Flexes Dance Company

Lasallian Pointes N' Flexes Dance Company, DLSU-D's pride, is an accredited institutional Performing Arts Organization under the supervision of the Cultural Arts Office.

It takes honor of its energetic members and professional choreographers with expertise in Jazz, Hip-hop, Ballroom, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Interpretative Dance. They are also studying Belly dancing and Gymnastics.

LPNFDC represents the school in Inter-University activities and Competitions. It renders free shows and minor or major productions in the University. It also facilities Outreach and Fund Raising Programs.

Membership Requirements
  • Must be a bonafide student of De La Salle University Dasmariñas Carries a minimum number of units imposed by the University
  • Must be a freshman or sophomore for 4 – year courses and up to junior standing for 5 – year courses
  • Must have maintained a satisfactory performance in academics
  • Must have a good moral character
  • Must pass the screening processes of LPNFDC and Cultural Arts Office

Lasallian Pointes N' Flexes Dance Company, established in 1993, is one of the most celebrated organizations in the university as it has proven to showcase Lasallian talents in several prestigious events and contests. It dominated SOP Campus Front Act in 2003 where the group became the defending champion for seven consecutive weeks. In 2004, LPNFDC won as champion in the LA Gear Street Dance Competition Southern Leg. In 2006, the group also won the Kotex Smooth Moves Cool Grooves Dance Competition Cavite-Batangas Leg. On February 2, 2008, the group won 1st runner-up in the 21st Super Dancelebration in DLSU-Manila having been their pioneering stunt. On August 27, 2010, LPNFDC placed sixth among more than 20 schools to join "Maximum Groovity 6". On February 2011, it placed 2nd runner-up in the 24th Rock Dancelebration and 1st Runner-up for a pioneer launch of "Dance 2 Live", a non-professional dance competition. March 10 of last year, it placed second among four well known universities joined in the 25th Silver Dancelebration and last February 23, the group placed 2nd runner up in the 26th Love Dancelebration in DLSU-Manila. The group is also one of the most awaited performers in Sayaw Filipinas every year.

For years now, Lasallian Pointes N' Flexes Dance Company has been producing its minor production titled "Dance Series: Empowering Culture Through the Art of Dancing," a collaboration of various dance artists from the university and other institutions within Cavite. The group likewise produced five major concerts ("Voyage", "PRO Dance", "All That Dance", "Thou Shall Blink… It's Magic!" and "When at night…"), and has successfully staged some of the finest dance pieces. As part of its community service, it has also been rendering dance workshops for students of other neighboring schools, together with other outreach programs.

Lasallian Pop Band

This musical group is mainly into OPM, Pop, R&B, disco, fiasco, bossa nova, jazz music and other types of music genre. After existing as a unit for one year under the DLSU-D Brass Band, (now known as the DLSU-D SYMPHONIC BAND) in 2002, LPB is now the youngest group under the Performing Arts Group banner after being recognized as a separate organization.

The group first performed in April 2002 during the DLSU-D Grand Alumni Homecoming and has since been showcased in many other events.

Teatro Lasalliana

The TLS is the sole student theater/dramatics group in the campus established in 1988 with 25 multi-talented members from different colleges. The TLS is under the competent tutelage of a technical house director from the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The group promotes the awareness and development of theater arts in the University. The TLS subscribes to the belief that theater arts is a concerted, collective effort. Interested individuals need not have the know-how or ability to act to be part of the magical world of theater. Yearly, TLS comes up with minor and major stage plays as well as theater festivals. The members visit secondary schools for outreach programs and workshop sessions designed for potential artists.

Visual and Performing Arts Production

The Visual & Performing Arts Production Unit, which is supervised by the Cultural Arts Office andwas established in 1996, is a multifaceted arts organization specializing in events, production and stage management and lighting and set design and techniques. The group is also into visual, graphic and digital arts.

VPAPU manages minor and major productions of the various organizations in the Performing Arts Group. The group also handles institutional, provincial, regional, national and even international events.

At present, VPAPU, with 27 full-pledged members, seeks to pursue its service by helping promote culture and the arts inside and outside the Lasallian community.

The Visual & Performing Arts Production Unit aims to:

  • Provide an alternative avenue for self-expression and creativity.
  • Develop potentials and interests of young individuals in the production world.
  • Expose the community to quality productions (e.g. musical/stage plays and variety/entertainment shows) in order to cultivate the talents of the members.
  • Work hand in hand with the faculty, non-teaching staff and the whole student body in order to develop a harmonious relationship.
  • Be of service while inculcating right conducts and values.
  • Provide the whole Performing Arts Group assistance in the field of production management.
Assistance ranges from:
  • Pre-production - consists of stage/set design.
  • Production proper - consists of production team.
  • Post-production - consists of packing-up of VPAPU owned materials and materials owned by other groups with the help of transportation requested by the said group.
  • Stimulate cultural awareness of the community.
  • Provide the community with excellence in terms of events production and stage management.
  • Support the academic programs of the institution.
  • Embody the Lasallian tradition of Faith, Zeal and Communion.
VPAPU's production programmes can be categorized into these major platforms:

Production Design: VPAPU is the only professionally trained organization in the realm of stage management, lighting design and set design and techniques. Members are mentored by internationally renowned theater designers.

Community Service/ Outreach: Featuring free events, free shows, and free workshops for students and out-of-school youths, VPAPU's outreach activities are aimed at the group's commitment in community building and sharing its vision and mission.

Art Gallery: VPAPU exhibits works of members and other artists in a yearly event called OBRA, showcasing diverse genre of art.
